8) Clean underwear isn’t exactly clean.
Most clean underwear has traces of feces on them. There is an average of a tenth of a gram of feces in a pair of clean underwear. Also, bladder leakage is common, and washing machines may not necessarily clean the underwear out, because the water does not reach a high enough temperature, and most detergents, unless they contain bleach, cannot kill bacteria.
