#3. Take the Necessary Steps to Prevent Loss
We’re all but sure you’ve misplaced your cell phone or mobile tablet at least once. Perhaps you were not able to recover the device at all and had to personally suffer with the loss of the information that you had stored within it (i.e. pictures, videos, contacts, files, etc.) Even if you were able to eventually recover the device, the anxiety that you experienced from that short-term loss is definitely not an experience that the average person enjoys.
Can you imagine the level of anxiety that you might experience by losing a mobile device filled with confidential customer data and credit card information? Keep in mind that even major companies lose at least 11 corporate smartphones each year that are unlocked and openly exposed to the public, according to Information Week. Mistakes happen all of the time and there is still a chance that you will lose your device one way or another. However, by making a diligent effort to keep up with the device at all times, you will drastically minimize the potential risk of that happening.
