Treehotel | Sweden
A total of 24 “rooms” exist in Sweden’s Lule River valley, all of them situated in trees. The outward appearance of each room varies — a UFO, cabin, birdhouse, or futuristic “mirrorcube,” which is exactly what it sounds like — a giant, mirrored cube in a tree complete with infrared stickers on the windows to keep birds from crashing into them. The series of treehouses were built in 2010 and designed for up to two people.
