#3. Injustice: Gods Among Us
If your friend played Marvel vs. Capcom — and if he’s a red-blooded ‘Merican, he certainly did — he’ll enjoy using DC Comics’ cast of characters (Batman, Superman, Joker, Green Lantern, Bane, Lex Luthor, et al.) — to do basically the same thing. From the makers of Mortal Kombat, each character’s moves are easy to learn and the “this superbeing should beat the shit out of that superbeing” concept means he’ll only need to turn on his brain when deciding to be a villain or a hero.
#4. Saints Row: Saints Row IV
A crew of asshole aliens have come to Earth to steal our resources and most likely grope our women. You control the President of the United States — who was the leader of a street gang pre-invasion — and it’s your job to make those E.T.s pay. All you have to do to move through the story within the game is take a big bag of crazy weapons and start blowing people away. There are more intricacies but why bog your friend down with those? Keep it simple and he’ll enjoy the ride.
