You Can Get A Job
In prison, it’s easy to get a job — even if you stabbed your references. In the Tennessee Department Of Corrections, for example, more than 5,000 inmates work in support services preparing food, acting as janitors, landscaping, doing laundry, and maintaining buildings and equipment. Payment can come in the form of real dollars (granted, it’s only about 40 cents an hour) or life-experience dollars, which are much more valuable!
