5. Aim With Your Thumb
The position of your thumb upon the release of the ball predicts a lot about your shot. “Your thumb will basically direct which way your ball is going to go down a lane,” Bohn says. “If your thumb is straight up, toward the ceiling, then your ball is going to go dead straight towards the pins. If your thumb is off to the right, regardless of what hand you roll with, then your ball’s going off to the right.”
