Scent of A Woman (1992) – “Makers of Men, Creators of Leaders…”
Al Pacino won an Oscar for this particular role and rightly so. To this day, the speech he carries out in the courtroom scene is a moment that deserves a special place in cinema history. Not only is this scene a fine sample of film writing, but also a tremendous testament to how first-class acting puts the right finish touch on a very important and well-crafted statement. It basically puts a spotlight of shame on high society and how powerful men are neglecting human loyalty and true values, purely for personal gain and reputation.
