POOL PARACHUTE
Hopping in a pool decked out in your Nikes, cargo pants, and a hoodie will add speed-enhancing resistance to your workout, but it’s easier to pick up a pool-specific parachute. For cheapskates, a bucket tied to a rope and looped around your waist will suffice. “The smaller the bucket, of course, the easier it’ll be,” Soni says. “A big bucket would be almost impossible to swim with. Cut parts of it out so it goes through the water easier.” You can use any stroke with this drill.
How To Do It
• Tie a rope to the handle of a bucket with enough length to trail past your legs
• Tie the other end around your waist
• Because of the drag, focus on form and technique
