1. Warm-Up
Start your workout with five to ten minutes of heart-pumping cardio. Jog around your neighborhood, run in place or do a long series of jumping jacks.
2. Stair Runs
This exercise builds on your cardio warm-up while working your thighs, hips and legs. Stand at the base of your stairs and then quickly run up and down the length ten times. Pause before doing another two sets.
3. Crunches
Crunches are a fantastic way to work your abs. Lie on the floor with your knees bent, hands behind your head and lower back scooped very slightly upward. Slowly bring your head and shoulders off the floor while crunching your ribs toward your pelvis. Hold for a few seconds, come back down and then do three sets of 20 repetitions.
4. Dynamic Push-Ups
Want to add a little more power to a run-of-the-mill push-up? This exercise is for you. Assume a regular push-up position and then slowly lower yourself to the floor. As you come back up, however, use your arm strength to push your hands off the floor. When you land, immediately lower yourself into another push-up, and then repeat 15 times.
