#6. Typos
You get some slack with smartphone typos, more so than you will in emails. One thing we’ve seen is to put a disclaimer in the signature — Sent from my iPhone (so please excuse any typos). #7. Replying To A Text During A Face-To-Face Conversation
Avoid it. Even an “Excuse me.” doesn’t cut it. If you’re in a meeting with someone, be in the meeting with them. Don’t insult them, and shifting your focus to somewhere else does exactly that. Be present. Listen to what they’re saying and try to connect with them. Most of us cling onto something we want to reply with and block most of what the other person’s saying. Adding a smartphone into the mix doubles down on the distraction.
