#2. Creep
Creep” comes from a darker writing time for Stone Temple Pilots. Facing sadness in their lives, both the lyrics and the overall minor tone of the song mimicked how the band was feeling in real life. Even the word “creep” is demeaning, and was purposely used by lead vocalist Scott Weiland to show the way the band felt looking in the mirror. Two videos were made for this song by different directors, as the first was considered too full of sexual references and drug content.
