WILLIAM SHATNER (1997 – present)
The 16 Best TV Spokesmen Ever
Company: Priceline.com
Shtick: The ads generally took advantage of Shatner’s bombastic and authoritative acting style. They also evolved over the years. Early ads had him singing. In 2007, he adopted the persona of the Negotiator, who was “killed” five years later – but continued to give people advice from beyond the grave. A few months later, Shatner was “brought back to life.”
Fun Fact: In 2004, Leonard Nimoy, aka Mr. Spock, allegedly “replaced” Shatner as the Priceline.com spokesman. In fact, he and Shatner co-starred in the ads.
