Happyland
Happyland, MTV’s excellent one-time TV series first aired in September, 2014. It follows a teenage girl named Lucy whose mother is employed as a fairytale princess (Princess Adriana) at one of the biggest theme parks in the US. *Spoilers ahead* Lucy begins dating a dude who also works at the park, only to discover that he is actually her half-brother. Happyland follows the reality of the park workers of one of the most popular theme parks in America. Not only that, but as she decides to leave the theme park she also learns that the park owner is her real dad. A bizarre plot, to be sure. Unfortunately the show landed to rather lukewarm reception both from critics and the public, and as a result, it never lived on.
