When you think at casinos and casino cities around the world, there are many European locations, like Monte Carlo, Paris or London to consider. But if you really want to experience the classic casino gaming and feel like in the movies, there are two main cities, Las Vegas and Macau.

The two are also main destinations for fun attractions. The truth is that nowadays there are plenty of online casinos. For example, we have casinos like Unibet Casino, where you can play absolutely any game. However, if you want a holiday that includes fun in the coolest casinos in the world, you can choose between Las Vegas and Macau.

Let’s see what each one has to offer.

Las Vegas

The gambling capital of the Western Hemisphere has over 100 casinos. It is located between Grand Canyon and California, and the city has to offer not just plenty of gambling, but much more than this. It has some impressive buildings and attractions. The Strip, or the Las Vegas Boulevard, is the starting point. It is almost 5 miles long and it has more than 30 casinos.

Then, there are the hotel casinos. The most famous of them are Caesar Palace, The Mirage, and Bellagio. All of them appeared in movies and music videos, and feature thousands of rooms and entire acres of gambling space each.

The Bellagio fountain is one of the most famous in the world for decades, with its most choreographically complex music and light shows. Also, in Vegas you can find the second highest tower in North America, the Stratosphere Tower, or The Strat. With a height of over 1,100 feet, meaning 350 meters, it is taller than the Tour Eiffel in Paris

If you want to have a glimpse of the Las Vegas night view, The Strat may be the right option. It is famous for the spectacular midnight 360-degree views of the city from the observation deck.

Sin City is though even more thrilling. The party is on anytime here. You can have a bachelor party in Las Vegas (remember “The Hangover”?), but also enjoy extraordinary music. Vegas may not be the glam once was, when Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra or Tom Jones used to perform here, but still attracts many big stars. Adele, Celine Dion and Robbie Williams are among the singers which were on the stage in the modern-day Vegas.

There are spectacular shows too, like Cirque du Soleil and David Copperfield. Last but not least, clubbing is in the house. Electro music is at its place for youngsters to enjoy, and the city has many clubs with live music from some of the biggest names in dance music. Also, alcohol is served in the casinos, and fast food too.

Macau

In the other part of the world, the former Portuguese colony Macau is the biggest casino city in the Eastern Hemisphere, making a big name for itself in Asia. It is the home of some of the most impressive casinos in the world.

In fact, half of its economy comes from the casinos, and it has almost 50 of them. It has long been dubbed as the “Asian Monte Carlo”, “The Monte Carlo of the East”, or “The Vegas of the East”, but the truth is the city is a standalone famous casino destination now. Its gambling revenue was $37 billion in 2018 alone, as many view it the gambling capital of the world.

Situated on the southern coast of China, its main clients are from this country (2/3 of the total number) and from Hong Kong and Taiwan (1/4). The reason is that is the only Chinese place where gambling is legal. Half of all daily Macau tourists pay a visit at the Venetian – its landmark casino.

Clubbing isn’t at the Vegas level, but authorities and individuals alike have made efforts to bring the same Sin City entertainment to attract more tourists. That’s because the entire casino industry is more “silent” and there is much less noise than in the American capital of gambling. There is no alcohol, the gambling is a more serious thing than in Vegas, and the food is served at high-class restaurants.
