What Are Chemical Weapons, Anyway?

WW1

CHOKING AGENTS
Pulmonary agents (choking agents) include chlorine, ammonia, phosgene, and nitrogen oxides. Exposure results in unpleasantries like eye and skin irritation, blurred vision, severe burns, coughing, vomiting, headache, and chest pain. Long-term side effects include respiratory and circulatory failure, blindness, chronic bronchitis, and congestive heart failure. They can also generate fluid in the lungs that leads to a “dry drowning.”
