Seeing athletes earn millions of dollars for wearing suits on the sidelines while nursing hurt feelings isn’t exactly great PR for the NBA — especially when compared to the NHL. Trt has legendary tales of endurance and toughness, and yet every year there’s a new addition to the legend. Last season, it was Chicago’s Duncan Keith, who took a puck to the mouth during a Stanley Cup playoff game and lost seven teeth — one of which lodged in the back of his throat. Yet he barely missed a shift because, well, it was a Stanley Cup playoff game. Yeah, Steve Nash seemingly always plays banged up … but then again, the guy is Canadian.
